Ms. Lemay is Co-President of LEMAY-YATES ASSOCIATES INC. She has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry including 16 years as a consultant and prior positions at Nortel (Northern Telecom) and Bell-Northern Research.
Ms. Lemay is a recognized expert in telecommunications, with particular emphasis on the development of business plans, due diligence, market research, spectrum auctions and spectrum valuation, mobile data as well as mobile content applications. Ms. Lemay has also been actively involved in regulatory proceedings and in consultations for the development of public policy in telecommunications.
Ms. Lemay has supported many clients in the context of policy consultations and regulatory proceedings on subject matters ranging from mobile industry structure, conditions of license for mobile carriers, spectrum strategy, roaming and tower sharing, as well as mobile TV technology to wireline competition issues related to voice over IP and next generation networks.
Ms. Lemay has also conducted mandates on behalf of CRTC and Industry Canada. CRTC mandates included a training course for CRTC staff on Canadian telecommunications regulations conducted in 2006.
Ms. Lemay has co-authored many independent market research reports published by LEMAY-YATES ASSOCIATES INC., including the latest reports on spectrum prices and mobile broadband in Canada.
Ms. Lemay has also supported many clients during due diligence reviews or license applications for new mobile carriers and cable television operators in the late 1990’s and early 2000’ years for mandates in many international markets from Poland and Romania to Vietnam and Chile.
Prior to founding LEMAY-YATES ASSOCIATES INC., Ms. Lemay was in charge of International Marketing for all Nortel transmission equipment product lines. At Nortel, Ms. Lemay also created a fiber multiplex product line which was extensively deployed by operators in the US and Canada.
Ms. Lemay is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars as well as on BNN and other media.. She holds an Engineering Physics degree from Laval University and an MBA, Executive Option, from Concordia University.
