Chris Knight is the co-founder and Co-CEO of Knight Magee Industries, an independent media company with offices in Ottawa and Toronto, engaged in the creation and distribution of multiplatform branded content. An industry veteran who early on recognized brand value beyond traditional television, Chris has set Knight Magee’s focus on building proprietary brands with ancillary revenue streams including: product licensing, merchandising, publishing, endorsements and product integration. Knight Magee Industries’ first project is the recently announced TV movie based on the adventures of one of Canada’s most revered historical figures Sir Samuel Benfield Steele.
Chris has created, written and executive produced a long list of lifestyle and factual programming which he has distributed to over 90 countries on multiple platforms. Popular titles include: Road Grill, Licence to Grill, Table D’hôte, This Food That Wine, Dig In, Junk Brothers, and Gemini award winning Cook Like a Chef and The Great Canadian Food Show.
An award winning writer, Chris has authored seven best-selling cookbooks based on his popular tv shows. He has won the International Gourmand World Cookbook Award for the Cook Like A Chef companion book and has been nominated for multiple James Beard awards for his series Cook Like A Chef and The Great Canadian Food Show. His latest Licence to Grill cookbook is a Canadian best seller.
Active in both the Canadian and international production community, Chris Knight is a popular panelist and regular participant at key industries events including: the CFTPA’s Prime Time, The Banff World Television Festival, MIPTV, MIPCOM, Realscreen and NATPE.
