Ms. Paling is currently a Senior Account Manager at the Toronto office of the National Bank of Canada’s TV and Motion Picture Commercial Banking group. Ms. Paling has been with the Bank since September 2003 and is responsible for evaluating and managing project financing for various film and television productions across Canada, primarily in the Toronto and Vancouver areas. The National Bank of Canada’s TV and Motion Picture Group specializes in the financing of productions of all kinds. The group is recognized by the industry as one of its major financing sources and has offices in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
Ms. Paling, is also a member of the Ontario Bar, holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a bachelor’s degree from McGill University. She has a variety of industry-related work experience. From 1996-1999 she was a Senior Tax Credit Office, Business and Legal Affairs for CAVCO (the Canadian Audio-Visual Certification Office). In April 1999 Ms. Paling moved to Montreal to become VP, Business and Legal Affairs for Blackwatch Communications Inc. which produced and distributed film and television productions. From May 2001 until September 2003, Ms. Paling was President of Wishmaker Films Inc., a Montreal-based film and television production services company.
