CFTPA appoints new Vice-President of Communications and Member Services

CFTPA President & CEO Guy Mayson is pleased to announce that Claude Lemieux has been appointed as new Vice-President of Communications and Member Services.

A well-known figure in the production industry, Mr. Lemieux has extensive experience in communications, marketing, training, and event management in the film and television industry. Over the years, Mr. Lemieux had helped coordinate Canadian industry representation at MIP-TV and MIPCOM, the Film Festival in Cannes, the Berlin Film Festival, the Montreal International Festival of Films, the Banff Television Festival and Foundation, the Alliance Atlantis Banff Television Executive Program, as well as doing extensive consultation for Telefilm Canada.

“I know I can speak for the entire board in extending a warm welcome to Claude”, said President & CEO Guy Mayson. “The Association has an ambitious plan to expand services for members in the future. Claude’s energy and enthusiasm will be a huge addition to help make this happen”.

Mr. Lemieux is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and began his career as journalist with CKCH Télémedia Hull/Gatineau and Radio-Canada in Ottawa.

He will begin his tenure with CFTPA November 3, 2005.
