Former Heritage Staffer Marc Séguin Joins CFTPA

Marc Séguin is the new senior policy director at the Canadian Film and Television Production Association's Ottawa office. Working under the direction of president and CEO Guy Mayson, Séguin will be working on policy issues related to feature film and new technology.

Many production industry players will be familiar with Séguin as a result of his experience over the past 12 years in the area of film and television policy development at the Departments of Communications and Canadian Heritage. His background includes a stint at Telefilm Canada, implementing and designing the government's Feature Film Policy and contributing to the Macerola report on Canadian content.

Séguin is expected make a major contribution as the CFTPA moves forward toward meeting the many challenges facing the production industry.
