LANTOS TO BE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT CFTPA'S PRIME TIME

Legendary producer Robert Lantos will be giving the keynote address at the Canadian Film and Television Production Association's annual Prime Time in Ottawa conference on January 29, 2004.

"Robert's perspective on the Canadian production industry is bound to be controversial and inspiring," said Guy Mayson , acting president and CEO of the CFTPA. "He tends to tell it like it is, and he has the track record to back him up."

Lantos is expected to share his views on how to be a successful producer in Canada . From founding Alliance Communications Corporation in the 70s, to opening his boutique production company Serendipity Point Films in the 90s, Lantos has been the driving force behind many of the country's most notable shows and films. Among them: Night Heat , Due South , E.N.G. , In Praise of Older Women, Crash , The Sweet Hereafter , eXistenZ and the soon-to-be released The Statement .

The CFTPA is a non-profit, trade association representing almost 400 Canadian companies involved in the media content production industry.
