CFTPA ELECTS NEW BOARD AT BANFF AGM

The Canadian Film and Television Production Association announced the results of its board elections on Saturday, June 7th during its annual general meeting in Banff, Alberta. The new chair is Toronto’s Laszlo Barna, executive producer, Barna-Alper Productions; his list of credits includes DaVinci’s Inquest and Blue Murder.

Barna has been an active member of the board since 2001. He recently served as one of the association's two representatives on the board of the Canadian Television Fund. Barna is known not only for his success in producing dramas, but also television movies such as Milgaard and Betrayed, and numerous documentaries. The CFTPA chair position is for a two-year term. Barna is replacing Julia Keatley, executive producer of Keatley Film Ltd.
