The CFTPA has become a Member Partner in the Members Advantage Program (MAP) organized by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television to allow its members to access the benefits of over fifty supplier participants in the Program.
Administration Fee Discounts
When a union or guild member works for a union or guild production mandatory administration fees must be paid to their respective representatives. CFTPA members are eligible for reductions in the various fees and levies payable to the Writers Guild of Canada, ACTRA, the B.C. Council of Film Unions, the Directors Guild of Canada (B.C. District Council and Ontario District Council), as well as the CFTPA itself.

CFTPA’s National Mentorship Program
The National Mentorship Program is available to all CFTPA members. In 2006/2007, the NMP will place 81 interns with mentor production companies across Canada. Find out about the programs here.
ISAN Canada Discount
The International Standard Audiovisual Number (ISAN) is a unique, permanent, and internationally recognized number for audiovisual works, making immediate and accurate identification possible. All CFTPA members in good standing receive a 50% discount off of ISAN Canada’s account set-up fee.
Most Canadian film and television industry organizations such as Telefilm, CAVCO, and the CRTC are currently requesting ISAN numbers on their applications. Producers working under CFTPA Independent Production Agreements with the DGC, ACTRA and WGC are required, when applicable, to obtain an ISAN.
To take advantage of this benefit, simply include your CFTPA membership number on the ISAN Canada account application form (also available in French) and you will receive 50% off the $150 one-time account set-up fee. Please visit www.isan.ca for more information.
Publications
Keep on top of what’s happening in the industry with the CFTPA’s Note to Members bulletins. Members receive a free copy of the CFTPA’s GUIDE, and can access its online version; members also get a free listing and a 10% discount on any GUIDE advertising.
