Administration Fee Discounts

Membership in the CMPA provides access to collective agreements and administrative fee discounts for those agreements, such as the Writers Guild, ACTRA and others. For example, if a CMPA producer member hires a writer with the Writers Guild, the CMPA member will receive a discount on the Writers Guild administration fee for the contract with the writer. However, CMPA members are not automatically bound to all collective agreements. They are not required to use union or guild employees. Member use of collective agreements is voluntary.

Collective agreement administration fees are mandatory when union or guild employees join a production. Fees for CMPA members are capped at a maximum. Non-members have no fee cap. Your CMPA membership guarantees you the benefit of administrative fee discounts.
