Membership

Welcome to the CMPA. 

We are the collective voice for independent Canadian producers. We represent Canadian film, television and interactive production companies who produce hundreds of hours of content, across all genres.  Our goal is to promote and stimulate the Canadian production industry. 

CMPA members contribute to our work through involvement in committees, the board and member surveys.  Together we inform public policy through the CMPA’s advocacy work and through data gathered from our membership and industry partners.  We actively lobby the departments of Canadian Heritage, Industry and Finance, as well as the Prime Minister’s Office, the CRTC, other government agencies and departments, and federal and provincial elected representatives.

Additional member benefits include discounts on union administrative fees, electronic industry updates, industry publications, access to mentorship programs, cost-savings such as travel, registration, accommodation and health care, and opportunities to network with industry professionals at regional, national, and international events.

Please note CMPA memberships are annual, commencing April 1st each year and fees are determined by company size, type and location.  Membership is for Canadian-owned companies and individual producers. For a list of categories and fees, click here.
