Industrial Relations

The CFTPA negotiates labour agreements with the unions and guilds representing actors, singers, directors, writers and technicians working in the film and television industry. Working out of our offices in Toronto and Vancouver, our experienced team keeps in touch with all of the players to maintain a productive, sustainable working environment for film and television production in Canada.

Any member, including temporary permittee members, can use the CFTPA’s I.R. team to resolve disputes between producers and various unions and guilds. Last year they resolved over 100 grievances, which avoided costly arbitration for members.
